Success

If we are going to have success in our plight for self reliance, we have to make sure we put our all into what we are doing and the objective at hand. Sure it want be easy all the time, but it will be worth it in the long run when we can literally taste the sweet rewards of what we have accomplished.
Does God want me to be successful in the work I do?

GOD'S RESPONSE

She goes out to inspect a field and buys it; with her earnings she plants a vineyard. -Proverbs 31:16

A Jew named Aquila...had recently arrived from Italy with his wife, Priscilla...Paul lived and worked with the, for they where tent makers just as he was. -Acts 18:1-3

Work hard...As slaves of Christ, do the will of God with all your heart.  Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rater than for people.  Ephesians 6:6-7

  • God endorses hard work, ingenuity, and success.  Paul, Aquila, and Priscilla were Christian leaders in ministry and in business.  The quality of your work and your enthusiasm for it reveal the nature of your commitment to Christ.  Hard work done with excellence and integrity honors God and may bring material resources that can be used for God's glory.  God also recognizes that hard work does not always lead to material success.  What is important is that we do our work as thought God were our boss.
GOD'S PROMISE

Commit your work to the Lord, and then your plans will succeed.  -Proverbs 16:3
