Lifes Little Emergencies

When thinking of food storage you have to think of your family as a unit and individual compartments.  Take the time to sit and consider what the specific NEEDS of everyone are trying to compliment the individual wants.  Having a perfect plan in place would be great, but we are not seeking perfection, but general protection.  One of the first things to consider is that life has many everyday emergencies and food storage should not be in place for just catastrophic events.  Consider how many times you have ran out little things, rice, suger, salt...you know some of the basics.

Wouldn't you have felt better knowing that it was OK because you had food reserves stored away for such a time as this!  What about you working moms or dads.  You wake up super early in the morning to get the kids off to school...then drag yourselves to work, followed by football and dance practices. All along forgetting you forget to take out the chicken! Wow, what is your family going to do?, since hunger is not an option for such a active bunch.  Wouldn't you feel secure knowing that you could go to your pantry, and pull out a meal that was not only good to eat, but healthy and only took about 20 min plus water. Let me help you on your route to self-reliance knowing that you have done everything you can to make sure your family eats, because at the end of the day if your hungry nothing else matters.
