Busyness

The thought of starting  food storage reserves can seem like a daunting task, and the one that that always pops into mind is..."Wow", where will I ever find the time?  Well, i'm glad you asked, we will start off with small steps and work our way up, but first things first a basic emergency checklist and then we are on our way!  Start by visiting the family checklist page.
Even if I am careful to check my motives and plan carefully, my life is still very busy.  Is that good or bad?

GOD'S RESPONSE
She is energetic and strong, a hard worker... She carefully watches all that goes on in her household and does not have to bear the consequences of laziness. -Proverbs 31:17,27

Be sure to stay busy and plant a variety of crops, for you never know which will grow--perhaps they all will.  Ecclesiastes 11:16

We are merely moving shadows, and all our busy rushing ends in noting.  We heap up wealth for someone else to spend.  Psalm 36:6

  • Rich harvests cannot come from lazy fingers.  Getting the job done will require work.  Activities only become dangerous if busyness replaces real accomplishments or if your are neglecting God or the people in your care.  It is a good thing to be successful through honesty, hard work, and good treatment of others.  It is even better to use resources to help those in need, to support God's church, and to make a spiritual impact on society.  We should all be busy doing that.

GOD'S PROMISE
Lazy people want much but get little, but those who work hard will prosper and be satisfied.  Proverbs 13:14
